Indian Lady in a saree – picture from Life magazine circa 1940

Love this vintage picture from Life. A bit surprised about the sleeveless blouse and the expressions look kind of “modern”.
Not sure I like the saree pallu as a train, but a photo composition, especially for western audience, this is perfect!
